在汽車的心髒（zāng）部位的發動機追求（qiú）的是高（gāo）輸出、低燃費、低噪音等高性能化，並且能夠環保。在發動（dòng）機內燃料與燃燒氣體的吸、排上起（qǐ）著重要作用的是承擔閥正常開、關的凸輪（lún）和搖（yáo）臂。凸輪是不停轉（zhuǎn）動的機構，以前的滑塊式搖臂（bì）力是從凸輪傳（chuán）遞到搖臂（bì）的被喻為“滑動接觸”。現在用摩擦更小的“滾動接觸”替代，也就是裝有滾針軸承的滾針（zhēn）式搖臂。與滑塊式搖臂相比，摩擦損耗大約降低8%，燃料利用率大（dà）約提高3%，還有通過對（duì）表麵的特殊加工，使潤滑油的保持性（xìng）能提高（gāo），接觸部的壽（shòu）命（mìng）飛（fēi）躍式的延長（zhǎng）。並且朝著（zhe）實現汽車（chē）零部件免修理化方向作出了巨（jù）大的貢獻。
